Indeed Lovely David I played that on a small two manual pipe organ in a small church, the sound could well have been a Compton Cinema organ, it is the setting that maketh the sound.
A bright day yet again, one short sharp frost that put paid to the last flowerings, the garden as I look out appears to be settling at last into its winter rest period. My Music as I write and remember Joan's favourite places, "Tales of the Vienna woods" wonderful experiences in a wonderful Country and indeed wonderful music.
My relaxation time will be short and sweet, a full day ahead what with a flurry of birthdays then Christmas my feet have been red hot, it seems years since I was flat on my back in August, time and "music" heals all ills.
Frank - It's nice to know that Joan & yourself can be reunited though the music you both loved and enjoyed together. Nothing finer than"Tales of the Vienna woods" for the purpose......hugs.
Thanks David, a firm handshake will do nicely. Joan never went away in spirit I often catch a whiff of her gentle scent and after checking the dressing table for leaking bottles or cracked caps found nothing amiss so accept the fact she has her eye on me.
Home again after getting my orders from number two bossy Daughter who stuffed me as usual Friday lunch time. I will attend my grandsons passing out parade Monday night (Air Cadets). I will co-operate with the CH4 request for a programme on VE Day as there are not many left to tell the story, yes daughter dear, I was wavering, done it before with BBC. I will cook Ham for Christmas day and not let t'other daughter do it as my ham always tastes best??? She will get my Christmas cards for me, do I need her to address them??? "err" done and dusted, I can do things myself you know, "oh" are you sure you managed them all??? for goodness sake do you think me gaga. They all got a shock this summer after thinking me bombproof now they want to wrap me in bubble wrap. So home feet up reading the comments and playing "wait for it" Irish drinking songs, accordion music, as my own accordion needs repair it is all I have at the moment. Straus later.
Frank.
PS Gosh that was an unloading though must have needed it, once I gave the orders.
Now, now, Frank...what's this 'a firm handshake will do nicely'? I did check you about 'hugs' (would I dare to take liberties?) a while back and you said you were not averse to them.
Anyway, nice to hear you continue to show deference to Joan and are performing your role as senior patriarch within the Palaisglide clan.
David, in my viking North hugs come with skirts attached, trews a firm handshake and those skirt wearers o'er t'border a clout with a claymore if they get close enough. I use midge spray on them it does the trick.
