  • Sorry, Lily...hard to think she'd have been a nan now.

Will try something a bit more cheery next time.  image

  • Can't believe it was so long ago. Very sad, a beautiful lady.

Difficult one to follow but to lighten the mood, can't beat a bit of the Big O

    Thank you Lily image

David very sad and as you say it seems so long ago but very clear in my memory.

Gemma my dad was a big Roy fan and at times the house used to shake with that song being played even one Christmas morning, walking up the drive I thought the band were playing music in the town centre image I wonder if that contributed to mum's deafnessimage

  • This has no sad memories for me, Gemma. Happy ones for sure; when my daughter was a baby, I used to dance around the house singing this to her. Now she lists it as her all-time favourite song.

PS. Her OH has his own band & is a singer, he now sings it to her....ever felt redundant?  image

I'm sure she remembers you singing it first David, Dad's don't get to be redundant image

Roy and Elvis always make me think of my mum, she was a big fan and it rubbed off on me image

Just been listening to this, should save it for a rainy day really but it's a lovely song on any day,
