Laurel planter

Hi

Hope you guys can help ???

I need a screen at the top of my drive, either side of my gates.

But my drive is brand new and i dont want to dig it up.  Will some Laurel in a closed bottom Big planters work ???

    Not closed bottom, no. They'll fill up with water.

    Nut's right - you need holes in the bottom for drainage. Make the planters as big as possible if you want it to look like a hedge. Small containers won't support big shrubs very well and they'll struggle to give you the right look. Plenty of holes in the bottom and raise them off the ground as well HG. image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • Thanks, I was going to get really big planters made up to accomodate them, if they are open bottomed then the soil will end up washng onto my brand new block pavia drive. Thats something i was trying to avoid image
