Green caterpillars

    I should have taken a photoimage I think it had some brownish marks on it but the same style of caterpillar

  • I think the caterpillar varies and there is a brown form. I think because it is mild there are a few caterpillars about being more active. Here is a picture of one of mine.

    I think it's very likely it was an angle shades

    Hi MM, yes, that is the little culprit. And I have seen a brownish version.Thank you. I shall look forward to seeing the adult Angle shade.

  • Sorry, had to kill all the ones I found in my garden (Nr Norwich), they were decimating my polyanthus and primroses, also had some dropping off my overwintering geraniums.
