I would never have known that the bush was a honeysuckle. I kept studying pictures of box/buxus because that's what it reminded of — and interesting that an alternate name of L. nitida is Box Honeysuckle. The leaves have a very clearly defined variegated pattern, but there are a couple of stems with plain green leaves as well.
It's good to know that the Wegeila may come back from the "severe" handling it got yesterday. The roots will have been damaged in the move, so I did prune it back somewhat to compensate. I hope I've done the right thing.
I had searched online and mooched about garden centres and hadn't found anything that looked quite like mine — thank you to everyone for sorting me out yet again.
I'm in the process of having an overgrown bank of trees, shrubs and brambles cleared. Have just discovered a Lonicera Baggeson Gold which I planted about 5 years ago and I have always liked this type of shrub even though I forgot about it! However, it has leaves on the top and sides but inside is bare. It's about 5' x 5' and I am wondering if it could be cut back hard next week to about 3' without killing it.

Not sure if this one is down to me Verdun. I wouldn't have been looking for a variegated L. nitida if you hadn't suggested the other one.
