    Thanks Gg, went yesterday morning before it started raining and again today. Feel as though I've made a good start.  

    The ground under the brambles is like black gold, and under the plastic, although compact and full of roots near the surface, that too is easily forked over so once the plots cleared I'm hoping for a good allotment....and what a find....discovered a dismantled polytunnel frame under the brambles and stonesimage

    Zoomer am sure you will really enjoy yourself it will be a lot of hard work to start with but what a reward once you have it set up. Glad to hear of your find it will be a great asset for your allotment please give us some pictures along the way good luck.

    Can you use the polytunnel frame? that sounds good

    Polytunnel frame what a fantastic find , all we found when we cleared ours was 2 plastic buckets !

    Spent the day at the allotment , lovely sunny day and not to windy , able to have coffee breaks and lunch outside , have not been for over a week so getting withdrawal symptoms 

    just had a lovely dinner , off to watch Football , perfect day
