Propagating vibernum bodnantense

What's the best way to propagate a vibernum bodnantense?

    Hardwood cuttings now. It may grow from soft wood cuttings but I've never tried it.

    Mine sends out suckers a about 6 inch from the original plants. I cut them off with a sharp spade and replant.

    Mine sends out suckers that are right up against the parent and I can't get them out, making a very tight bush and difficulty pruning out the old stems.

    That may be due to the high brick and concrete content of my soil
