Goldsworthy
HI
Can anyone help in identifying the attached plant used in one of Goldsworthy's sculptures and how the two tone effect was done?
Many thanks!

I should think you could do that with any broad leaved grass or reed (like the dried off ones in the background which are likely to be what he's used)
If I were attempting it, I'd arrange them then make a stencil to spray the middle part a different colour. But I'm no Andy Goldsworthy
In the sticks near Peterborough
I saw an exhibition by AG at Edinburgh Botanical Garden around 20 years ago. I seem to remember the pale centre was created by placing something over the middle to cut out the light. ( as you get if you leave something on your lawn for too long ) But don't quote me on it.
the foliage itself looks like either bamboo , or perhaps papyrus leaves ( Cyperus Papyrus ), but I'd not stake my reputation on either.
Thanks for the responses!
