Has anyone found a way to get rid of ants ? permanently the suns out and so are the ants on my south facing patio.

Thanks Jean have tried both, with no luck
sounds like they are running tunels under the patio.. is it slabs..if so then lift some to destroy eggs/queen.. watch when they fly too as it is queens looking for new nest.. stamp on them...
