Circular Borders and planting
I have a circular border in the middle of the lawn - already here when I moved housed. It has a small coniferous tree/shrub in the middle which we have removed. I would like to replace it with something tallish but that can be pruned to keep to a reasonable heigt and that has spring/summer and autumn interest. However, I don't want the roots to interfere wth the lawn or the path down the garden.
Any suggestions as to what might be suitable

two shrubs that spring to mind are either a camellia or a wisteria both offer structure and colour the camellia being a evergreen. Both are quite demanding tho and you should do the research before buying.
