Hedging

TppgTppg Posts: 1

Hi,  we have recently moved and the back garden is a blank canvas.  I have planted olive tress along the back fence to create a raised pivot for screening. However I would like to plant a low growing/dwarf hedging but would like something that flowers to attract wildlife/insects and/or come winter has berries for the birds etc.

Can anyone give me advice on what would be the best....hebes?!

I am relatively new to gardening - also I live near the coast and the garden does have full sun come the summer.

Any advice would be great. Thanks

  • Sacococca, Christmas Box , would be great and v easy to grow as long as it is not too dry. Different varieties tho Confusa seems recommended.  It flowers in winter, early spring with a strong perfume so great for bees. Evergreen, which is another bonus, and it would look super with the olives.
