Yes we reached 22 today and very little breeze. My 45 gazanias turned out to be 72 so I am all out of compost again. i will try to get to the shops tomorrow if the weather is not too bad. The weathermen do not seem to be sure where the worst storms will hit. I have fed and watered all the tomatoes with tap water and they should avoid the blight unless the wind changes and blows the fungus laden rain on them. I hope the weather does not spoil your hair-do, frumpy1.
Had some rain but brightening up a little now. Checked in the conservatory and 100% germination on both runner beans trials for Mr. F, *days after sowing and the plants are 3inches high.
I picked a bowl of huge strawberries before the rain came and lots of broad beans needing picked. My new white peony is opening its buds so looking forward to the perfume from that.
The cucamelons are reachingg for the skies as well and the "Charlotte"potatoes in the planter are showing signs of coming to the end of production as the haulms are yellowing.
Too risky to work out in the garden for one who feels vulnerable in a thunderstorm among trees so I potted up 15 diascias and then went shopping and managed to get there and back in the dry.
Terrific thunder and lightning storm at 6 this morning and I felt the house shuddering at one point plus lashing rain. Glad I covered the lettuce plants in the allotment yesterday as they would now be flattened. Yes Marion geranium Johnson blue is such a good 'do-er' I wouldn't be without it.
I saw large spreads of it on the John Lewis estate last week in Longstock water gardens and felt quite chuffed I had patches just as big in my garden! They were planted in the islands near the edges of the gravel ponds so must not mind being in boggy conditions so I will put a patch in my new bog garden.
Bizzie B, so glad I'm not alone on the sideway pictures , still not figured out how to put it right, Marion, so happy your tomato plants have survived they are looking nice and healthy, I got my hair done but couldn't go shopping as the rain was so heavy , it's still warm tho.
Oh what a glorious morning and the forecast is sunny and warm all day. I will try to at least visit each part of my garden to see what is going on, make a list of things to do for the rest of the month and check on all Mr. Fothergills trials. My pepper plants must get repotted today. The perfumes from the roses, peonies, carnations and pinks and the pink lilac and orange blossom will keep me intoxicated .

Good morning Marion.
I'm sharing my first tablet photo with you but not sure why it's on its side!?
Another learning curve.
The growth on all plants at this time of year never ceases to amaze me. It must have been the same last year - one forgets!
Congratulations on the success of the runner beans.
You are not alone having trouble with sideways photos, BizzieB. Crick in the neck coming on. Looks lovely. I do love blue and orange together.
It is the right way up when enlarged so can now see the bee. Very good picture.
