Narcissus starting to grow
I am wondering if anybody is able to give me some advice. I planted some bulbs for the first time last year (around September) and they are just starting to come up. Is this normal?

Given the mild weather and that it is now January, yes it is normal. Mine are showing and am not bothered by it as they are hardy bulbs.
Thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it! It has set my mind at ease.
Yes, mine have been showing for weeks now - if we get a cold spell they'll slow down, if we don't then we'll get early blooms.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It would be nice to get early blooms Dove. I have had mine bloom in June, so Feb or March as usual would be good.
Ones in the grass verge at work are already showing buds - although not open yet.
Mine have also been showing for weeks also iv still got roses in flower too
Mine have also been up since before christmas. they all look ok apart from one which has a little bit of brown on its tip. should I pile some leaves on it to keep it warm or will it be alright?
No need to keep them warm, they laugh at cold weather!
Mine are showing also, have been since just before Christmas. Just goes to show how mild it is. I also still have roses flowering, and my geraniums are also still flowering, on and off. Finally managed to get outside over the weekend to try and cut it back thinking it must surely be all over by now but nope.... flower buds everywhere! Crazy weather.
