overwintering chillies

Hi.  Last year, i decided i would try overwintering two chilli plants in the house.  They are doing very well and are quite bushy.  My question is:  do i prune them back before i put them outside in the summer, and if so by how much?  One is a scotch bonnet and the other is a habanero.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks
