Honeysuckle 'Serotina'
in Talkback
Could anyone please tell me if Honeysuckle 'Serotina' is suitable to be grown in a pot on an East facing wall.

I agree with Verdun
Serotina is a beautiful honeysuckle which like most of the loniceras needs damp woodland-type conditions. A pot would be too restricting - if you can plant it in the soil with plenty of leaf mould an east facing wall would be fine, as long as the top of the plant got some sun for at least part of the day.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I'd say it depends on what you call a "pot". I'd think it'd be fine in a half barrel if fed regularly.
I've tried a couple of times to grow them in a pot and after the first 2 yrs have been very disapointed with the result and have moved them to open ground. the roots fill the pot very quickly
