Hi James, a couple of drops in an urn the size of mine stops the problem. Mine is set up in March, after the danger of frost is past and lasts till October. I dismantle it all then and drain the urn. I wrap the pump in a couple old towels and replace it in the urn. It sits on an upturned plastic pot. The pot is then covered with an old piece of carpet and kept dry with a waterproof cover. By the way, since I took that picture I lowered the "tray" and covered the edge with pebbles.
Sorry James, a couple of drops of washingup liquid. Don't put toooooo much, unless you want a REAL bubble pool. Besides, it might harm the birds that come to bath and drink from it!
