Perhaps they don't realise the name change is back dated to previous posts Fairyimage

I notice there's been no mention of what is being injected. Or have I missed it?

Can anyone help? My garden backs onto the railway embankment and if you look over my fence there is about 100 metres of heart sinking japanese knotweed. I obviously cannot do anything about this and my only hope is to take preventative measures so that any straying into my garden are dealt with. This will be a lifetime of work as I do not see Network Rail doing anything about their side. Does anyone have any tips on even spraying something on a small strip just beyond my fence to stop it invading. Perhaps a load of salt or vinegar or such like?

Hi irenah - have you tried contacting the rail company? I think they have to be made aware of the issue. If they give you the runaround, try mentioning you're contacting the local MP as your next step. That often makes them sit up and notice! I'd contact your council as well and just explain the situation. They might be helpful with advice image

I have tried writing to Network Rail but no joy. I think it is such a large area they are just blanking me because it would cost a fortune to eradicate. I will try again though and I will also try the council because that s one thing I haven't done. Thanks.

Good luck with it irenah - I know how worrying it must be, and in time, it will come into your garden which makes it a very real problem for you. Keep pestering them!
