sambucus black lace cutting back? confusing advice

    when will it be possible to bug a sambucus black lace at garden centres. I am aware that garden centres prefere to sell evergreen shrubs at this time of year

    Also easy to take cuttings ...I have two extras growing from last year image
  • I have to move my black lace elder.The buds are just coming out.Would it harm the plant if I cut it back now along with moving it?

    How big and old is it Patricia? I wanted to move mine but when I starting digging I realised there was no chance without heavy machinery. If you can get it moved, cutting it back won't hurt it.

    Steve my local B&Q is full of Black Elder so perhaps worth taking a look there (if you have one) if your GC doesn't have it.image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
