I am going to a family 'do' tonight so can't watch the final
I'm going to have to wrap myself up in a cacoon until Sunday morning when I can watch it 'live' on the recorder (no radio/TV/smartphone or tablet!). I HATE having to do that.
I certainly won't claim that Andy Murray has the greatest of personalities and his voice is definitely monotone, but he's the best tennis player we've had for many decades. He wants to win and isn't content with being 3rd or 4th best as some others seem to have been (I won't mention Tim Henman by name).
It should be called Sports Person of the year, not Sports Personality. Remember Nigel Mansell winning? Now we really was seriously lacking in charisma, personality, vocal range etc but he was one heck of a driver.
Nigel M may not have had much of a personality, but he certainly made up for it with his forceful moustache ........... maybe Andy Murray should grow a moustache
