2 Hibiscus

My 2 hibiscus were very healthy until last week - I noticed that their dark green leaves were starting to turn yellow. Today I see this is much worse - is it too late to give them some seaweed feed and would this solve the problem?

  • Hi Sylvia image

Hibiscus are deciduous and will lose their leaves in the autumn.  Lots of information here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/gardening/howtogrow/3294313/How-to-grow-Hibiscus.html

    Hope that helps.

Hello Sylvia, years ago someone told me that the only thing Hibiscus needs is water. I have seen them growing in the Carribean and never thought they would manage here in the Norfolk Fens, where we have about the least rainfall in the UK and it often drops below freezing in the winter.

I grow one just outside my front fence on shallow thin soil facing West, it is lucky if it gets watered twice each summer and apart from that gets no attention at all.
