Growing olives from seed

In October I brought back about 100 olive seeds which I picked from a tree in the forum in Rome, I cleaned off the fruit and planted them in gritty compost and placed them in the fridge for a month, Ive had them by a semi warm window since but nothing is happening, I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck growing olives from seed themselves? Is there anything else I can do to increase my chances of them germinating?

Thanks

    Hi James

    I've never sown olives but a couple of thoughts;

    If you picked them from a tree they may not have been ripe

    They grow in warm places so shouldn't need a chill.
