When do I plant lily of the valley
in Plants
I have recently bought some Lily of the Valley bulbs and wonder when its best to plant them, would the frost kill them if I plant them now?

They're very hardy, plant them before the ground gets frozen.

As nut says, they're very hardy but can be temperamental. Some folk have real trouble getting them to establish while for others they become invasive. Doesn't seem to be much middle ground!
It took me 3 goes to get it established, and 'established' might be over-optimistic even now

Sounds right Verdun
Like rather a lot of other plants.

Isn't that the truth - sometimes I think they do it just to tease us!

I find it behaves like mint. Rampant or rubbish. Mine are growing madly, took 3 yrs to get going, but happily they are in a very small bed with only ferns for company. Mint is in tubs
They like a shady spot and you have to be patient. Worth waiting for though.
