rasp/gooseberry and fruit trees

When best time to move many thanks for advice

Posts

  • Best to move them when they're dormant i.e. winter, but not when the ground is frozen.

I think February is about the best time as long as weather conditions permit. but I'd prepare the new site now then as long as the leaves have fallen and the plants are dormant then move them. image

  • As soon as they have lost all of their leaves and are dormant.  Treat as you would when buying bare root trees and shrubs which are being sold by suppliers from now onwards.
