unknown bugs

my leeks are being eaten, from the inside out it seems by some bug which leaves little red-brown pip shaped seed sized eggs behind, I've never seen this before but it has  attacked all my leeks in three different beds, small beds.

Can anyone identify and offer me advice. We are an organic allotment association so I  cannot use  pesticides.
