    Not a UK wildflower mix.

  • the seed box was from the pound shop so says it all really, did contain lots of very nice flowers including lots of these poppies and other flowers

  • had loads of bees, had to rescue a few that were exhausted by putting a little stick with some honey on the end

    That blue one with the bee in it is phacelia which is good for green manure which you dig into the earth. The flowers last a long time in a vase too.

     Very lovely poppy. It does goat my goat a bit that they sell these foreign non-natives giving the impression that they're natives though. I wonder what benefit it really has compared what the average Joe would grow in their garden anyway. I'm not against the mixes per se but I think they shouldn't market them as 'wildflower' etc. They should be honest and give the consumer the choice. Anyway, a lovely poppy even if not native and a keeper. image
