Glad it all went well for you, Sue. Look forward to seeing some photos of the motorhome when you get one. Don't get one that's too big, can't get into some supermarket parking lots if it's too big/high, particularly in France!image

    Hi again All

House sale still not completed but I couldnt be bothered to wait and so have set off.  I am trying to write a journal and add something most days, depending on what I am doing.  I am currently around the Lake District area but due to head for the Highland tomorrow if the weather is a little less blustery,  The on up to John o Groats and I hope take the ferry to Orkney and if that goes ok on up to Shetland to maybe see the Northern lights - if the skies ever clear

If you want to check up on me this is my journal there are not many photos at the beginning, but now I am travelling I am adding more

Sue, read up to chapter 7, was gripped, but I really must go to bed as it's after midnight where I am, in Dordogne. You could make it a book! It's great. Please keep in touch. Are you really going to the Italian lakes? We'll be there in September.

I like oysters, but lobster is far superior! Good night!

Hallo Sue, how lovely to hear from you again! So glad I ticked "Email me when a response is made", otherwise I might have missed you. Have just read the whole interesting and witty blog and am astounded at your energy and resourcefulness, you sound like a person "after me own heart"! We too sold up everything and went sailing for 4 years 30 years ago, but were much younger then.

I have bookmarked it and will look in regularly to keep up with your adventures.

Take great care and enjoy every moment of your travelsimage

    Hugs to you and Phoebe
