That's OK Anthony. I only have Molly the Witch but I expect the others do the same. She's always visble, the shoots for next year start as the others die back. Very hardy plants

Whatever its name, it is a beautyimage

  • what gorgeous plants they are. I have three - one (bowl of beauty, I think) has flowered nicely for the last few years, but two have never flowered. I moved them to a spot where I thought they would be happier, with more sun, and they still haven't flowered, although lots of leaves last year, so I am hopeful. Fingers crossed I get some fabulous blowsy blooms next year. Also hoping they will be pink or white, as if they are red, I will have to move them again!

I think I read somewhere that peonies don't like to be moved and sometimes won't flower for a while until they settle again. Is that true? I moved mine in the middle of summer (I know, I know) and all the soil came away from the tuber - disaster! But it looks healthy enough even now.

I wouldn't be able to find the thread clk but this was discussed some time ago. Lots of us had moved paeonies with success
