Sowing Garlic

Going to sow garlic next week, weather permitting. The plot I'm using had potatoes in it in 2012 and had Carrots, Parsnips, and Cabbage in it 2013. No manure, compost or fertilizer used since the spuds, my question is what fertilizer do I add now to get a good crop nex year? Thanks in anticipation.

  • I'd add a little Fish Blood and Bone to the soil when sowing - that should be plenty.

We're planted our garlic a month or so ago - as it is following broad beans we've not added any fertiliser and it's growing away well.

  • FBB was my first thought but as I know so little about garlic I asked the question to be sure. Ta Dove, get well soon.

  • Cheers - neck and shoulder feel easier this afternoon image
