Sprouts....Cut Off Tops

They are about 2 foot tall and the sprouts are just about 1 - 2 inches big
I was told that at some stage you should cut off the heads for some ereason
Clarification please Friends

Pity you were not told the reason. There is no reason!
When you have harvested the sprouts going up the stems, you can cut off the top and cook it.
