I have never bothered with a seperate bin for leaves, everything goes in the same bin, including household compostables.
I just have a two year cycle on the compost, which ends up with the same crumbly mix. The first year gets turned into the other bin, and in the second year it is used for courgettes.....simples.
Why bother with yet another task in a garden that is always a Forth Road Bridge task anyway?
I am unfortunate to not have any trees in my garden, I have been savvy enough to collect leaves in old compost bags and put it them in the garage.
I am aiming to get five sack fulls each year to keep leaf mould supplies flowing hut this being my first year of gardening (amateur) I will not benefit from my efforts until 2015.
Is it possible to purchase leaf mould and if so where?
Going back to DiggerUK's comment above, is there any good reason to separate leave from ordinary compost heaps? I mix my waste (leaves, kitchen waste, grass cuttings, spend flowers, used rabbit straw and waste) and it all rots down beautifully. I do understand that leaves use fungi and other waste uses worms (and bacteria?), but my compost result is very good.
No reason at all not to mix it all up, including leaves. A lot of my leaves are chopped up and collected as I mow my grass at the end of the year. My Mountfield is a very good "Hoover" ! But I don't use it indoors......

You may not need to wait so long for your own? Can't think of any alternative supplies.
