    warmer tha the ground maybe? were they 'sown' on the same day?

  • I don't know Nutcutlet as I said they fell into the compost at some time maybe a week or two before I sowed on to the lawn.

    How long would you excpect the seeds to take to germinate 14 to 21 days ??

    Yes, about 21 days, sometimes a bit sooner if conditions are right. I have had mixes germinate quicker but mostly not. I'm always sowing little bits, repair jobs, and always expect them sooner but they keep me waiting

    you will. I sowed some about this time last year. It had just germinated when the cold weather came. It sat under ice and snow for ages then started growing again when it melted
