    Thank you for all the roses. My Dad had a passion for roses and as far back as I can remember he grew them. David has reminded me of a few "years gone by" names. I have some old catalogues of prize winners at varoius shows and old books of technique and such.  

    At one time D grafted his own over a hundred onto I think Rosa Munda ??  We had beds full of roses. I always did love Blue Moon, Peace & Dorothy Coussins( spelling might be  ?) He used to show them, and I used to be involved in the tweaking and messing with petals. In the 60's & 70's  he always wore a rose in his lapel. Sounds naff now, but it wasn't. image 

    Looking forward to more lovely pics tomorrow.
