Yes I'm on in the South West right on the coast with the Bristol Channel so we also get spoiled, I still love the sunsets here though as they are all different. Recently I have been trying to capture them 'on film' (Sd card!!) a bit more as like you I was just taking them for granted unfortunately!
I'm also still trying to capture that 'perfect' shot that you can get printed on a huge canvas and hang on the wall !!..
Higgy - loving your sunsets.....a secret ambition of mine is a winter visit to the Shetland Isles to take sunrises/sunsets.
KEF - Thank you for your variegated holly pic, certainly well in focus. Your little Coolpix has the potential to take really good shots.....certainly as good as those costing three times as much, not too long ago.....explore the options in 'scene'.
Finally, I would just like to say that following my recent op, I had a very moving best wishes PM from a lady who just reads this thread and because she doesn't enjoy the best of health doesn't contribute.
She informs me that not only does she get a tremendous amount of pleasure from looking at our photographs, she is staggered by the quality and the expertise of those posting them......so well done you lot!
Kef....certainly do not put it back in the box! Tip for you. to avoid camera shake try and keep your elbows close to your body when you are taking your shot. It helps to keep the camera steady.

Beautiful pictures David!!
Thanks KEF, much appreciated!

Thanks for your appreciative comments, Higgy & KEF.
Loved all those striking sunsets, Higgy. We have a fair choice of westward-facing shores here in Pembrokeshire - hard not to become blase!

David, "scene" will explore it. Thanks.
Nice to know that others are enjoying the thread.
Seems I can now do Macro and made a poor effort with ordinary. Today's "best" offerings.
Comments / advice most welcome.
p.s. Please don't say "put it back in the box and return it".
