Lily, I looked at Grandpa Dickson and Golden Wedding and they are both lovely. I am looking for roses at the moment, I already have my red climber and want a yellow, white (Iceberg?) and a pink for my border, but not climbers and scented
Thanks KEF, I was ironing upstairs and heard a thud, I ran downstairs so quick before one of my hounds got him!! He was ok though and here is one of him a little later when he flew into the tree.
Hey david....great page you started....i love taking photos...some lovely pics on this thread....i
i took this photo in the summer...i managed to catch this little guy hovering over the wildflowers...what made it really nice was that I grown them from seed...so it was an extra special treat getting this photo...
That's OK David. Could depend on soil or what you feed it on, even the light quality when the photo was taken.
Tracey, Iceberg is lovely. Gertrude Jekyll would probably be my first choice for a pink one. This isn't my photo, it's from Crocus, but it's a David Austin rose.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

It's hasn't put it how I put it with the titles on top and the rose on top. Weird!
I get that all the time, Lizzie.....not only does it prevent you from composing your posts as you would wish..... it's so annoying.
Like your antirrhinum close-up & rose, although l I can say is that my Pilgrim pic is fairly typical of the variety.
So sorry, Lizzie...just googled this 'The Pilgrim' pic from the David Austin web site.
However, others show it exactly as mine.

Talking of birds (earlier posts), this was a baby bird I rescued after it flew into the window
More lovely roses and flower pics, much needed on a dull day
