Gorgeous colour David - just what's needed on a dreich Sunday
Glue gun Lesley - keeps them there for hours...
Love the woodie - mine hasn't made a re appearance sadly, but I live in hope. He probably comes when I'm at work and then hides whenever I look out the window.
David's got me hooked on editing and sorting my photos now. I took this of Ben Ledi (just outside Callendar) on my way to Beinn Each, at the end of November. Cropped off the bottom bit and brightened it a little
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Well done Lesley & Fairy.....more excellent shots, thank you.
I'm pleased to hear your experimenting, Fairy. When I started this thread, I hoped it would encourage photography and if I can be of any help (even in a small way) I'm only too willing to try.
There are areas where they thrive up here BL but not near me. That was taken in Blair Atholl , Glen Tilt at the start of a walk. I was just lucky. Glen Lyon is a really good place to see them - it's one of their strongholds and a beautiful area. I was there a couple of weeks ago in the snow. I've seen them there frequently. Nearly ran one over going home.
He was quite patient, but I was a good thirty or forty feet away from him and he was that height up as well

Fairygirl, your pictures are always so gorgeous, it's hard for me persuade anyone to venture away from using their cameras on anything but auto settings.
Wndered what you thought of the above bit of tinkering?
I wish I had red squirrels. I just have three fat greys, stuffing themselves on the blackbirds food.
Me too!
Fairygirl is so lucky to have such beautiful countryside nearby.
As you will know, BBC's Winterwatch is broadcast live from the Cairngorms this year. Last night I was fascinated by the duel being played-out between a fox & a golden eagle, fighting over a deer carcass.

was trying to zoom in....works with my own pics, but not other peeps.
Lovely red squirrel Fairygirl. I wouldn't have a hope of a photo here, they are so shy.
