I really like that, chicky....both for the view and composition.
Fairygirl, most of what I post here are within 3 miles of my home.....a really lovely part of Staffordshire. I sometimes think that people think of Staffordshire as being industrial & dull and that is the case in some parts, but there are also some very pretty bits.
FG - the folks who live on the hill these days are just the inhabitants of the castle. In fact I think the Counts of Vianden moved out to somewhere more comfotable and easier to heat a generation of two ago. The whole thing was restored to its full 17th century glory in the 80s - 90s at some vast cost. £5 each to go round, which we thought was good value.

The Bridge over the River Ours in Vianden, Luxembourg this morning. Just got back.
Thanks. More to come when I've caught up on sleep.
Warmish and damp actually, much as it is here in W Flanders and apparently at home too. Lovely sunny day yesterday too.
I just love seeing all the views our members live by......

A couple more from Luxembourg:
Don't chuck stones into the valley!

Lovely Steve. What a view 'the folks who live on the hill' must have
LP - I think you're onto something. Perhaps everyone could take a pic of a nice view somewhere near where they live.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Here's one ..... A stones throw away
And I can't throw very far
Gorgeous chicky

Nice one, Chicky
But not to be outdone...
