Fairy I love monochrome especially some that David has posted of buildings. I did some decent ones last year of swans and ice. Best I think I've ever done. Dunno what I have done with my camera but I'm poor at stuff other than close up, it used to be ok.
You're very kind David. I really need to spend some time over winter experimenting with the camera and finding out all the bits and bobs on it. Just now, I mainly use it on auto for hillwalking, as I need my glasses to read all the different settings and it's not always feasible when it's really windy and cold and you just want to catch something before it disappears!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I've never done any in monochrome, although sometimes on the hills they practically look black and white anyway - and that's in June!
This was in early May I think

Your pictures are gorgeous, Fairygirl......please don't change them to b&w.

David - I don't know how to change them to black and white anyway!
I think the scenery does most of the work for me - it's certainly not down to any skill on my part if they turn out half decent!

Half time....Chelsea 1 (og) Dynamo Kiev 0.
Fairygirl, I think you're being rather modest, good pictures (and yours are) still need to be composed.
B&W, most cameras can be set to shoot in monochrome.
