This is a view from the Chateau of Castelnaud where I went with daughter and my 2 small grand children on Thursday. It was a horrid drizzly day but it cleared up just enough to take a photo.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
That's lovely BusyL. I really like seeing photos like that. I think one of the reasons we like to watch the Tour de France is because of the wonderful scenery.
Fairygirl, I've been meaning to say that your feeder in the cage idea prompted me to do something similar. The trouble is that I've not seen any little birds around since a pair of kookaburras moved in. I don't know if they have raided the nests or if the little birds have decided that discretion if the better side of valour and moved away. I miss seeing and hearing their little voices.
I planted this Clematis Montana about 25 up years ago against this old eucalyptus and it's been left uncared for all that time but it just keeps on, keeping on. Amazing.
Beautiful photo's everyone. Here are two I took today, Only discovered this place when doing my family tree, This is where my 3 x great grandfather is buried.
People might think it is weird to take photo's in a cemetery, but now this is also a tourist attraction as this used to be a Celtic Christian monastery.
I find your pictures very interesting, Lorna. I've probably taken some of my best shots in churchyards i.e. macro shots of lichens etc.....I don't post them here though, as I don't think they would attract much interest.

Spotted this today (not my pic) and thought it was beautiful in its simplicity.
I agree David. What a beautiful effect.
Taken in Dulwich Park yesterday afternoon.
