October rose pruning

I've been really silly and pruned the large climbing rose that climbs up the front of my house. In hindsight I know I should have left this job until after winter so can anyone advise me of any steps I can take to help protect it from the winter ravages?

Thanks

David

I shouldn't think it will come to any harm David. Roses get cut back at all sorts of times, whether they like it or not

Assuming you've removed, or tied in, any long whippy stems there's nothing to do except wait for spring and the new growth.  Give it a good feed of rose or tomato fertiliser once new growth starts and it will be fine.
