Oak tree seedling

A lovely little oak tree has sprung up in my veggie patch. My garden is much too small to accommodate it so I wondered if there is any reason why I should not plant it in a wild wood nearby which is left pretty much unmanaged? Chicky - I feel a bit sorry for the oak as a few years ago I was going to release it into the wild but couldn't get it out of it's plant pot - so I'm afarid it will be pot bound forever. On second thoughts maybe be an electric saw could release it.
