Plant identification

Hi everybody, could you please help me identify these two plants as I see them all the time and it's driving me mad not knowing what they are. Thanks. image

    Stag's Horn Sumach and Centranthus Ruber.

    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Centranthus ruber also known as valerian.

    I'd say the first is a type of Mahonia & second Valeriun.

    Whoops no edit yes first it Sumach..only just got rid of the thing. Don't like 2nd either roots smell awful when you dig them out, spread all over, we used to call it stinky root plant.

    Ist is stags horn sumach, 2nd and 3rd is centranthus ruber/valerian

    In the 1st pic there is something that could be a Mahonia under the Stag's Horn Sumach. The Sumach has the red autumn leaves and the red flowers spikes.

    Hi guys thank you for all your help. Just typed in stag's horn sumach and valerian in google and they are definately the right plants. Thank's Gardening guru's image
