Many of us noticed the lack of ladybirds all summer.
Today i visited our local park and noticed a seat covered with green fly and ladybirds.
All mixed large, small, black, red , orange, two spot, ten spot harliquin and the strange babys.
I was fasinated watching them for some time all mingled together and hurrying around.
But i did not see one green fly be eaten, not one!!!
What was going on??

Neither have I. Bet it was fascinating.
I found more ladybirds when I removed my runner beans than I've seen all summer. Re- housed them on nearby plants.
Noticed quite a few ladybirds on the outside of ladybird house today,does this mean they are about to move in ? I hope so.
Or, they know we are supposed to have a hard winter,and are preparing
Our globe artichokes were covered in ladybird larvae, so we couldn't harvest some of them
