    I agree, I broke my ankle a couple of years ago and had to have a wheelchair.  Not only was it a nightmare having to negotiate overcrowded shops (the whole of The Range became silent following my scream of pain when hubby cracked my ankle on a particularly awkward stack of items whilst cornering) but I also became enranged when a shop assistant asked hubby if his wife would like a bag for her goods (I did tell her that I had only broken my ankle when I fell downstairs and not become deaf and dumb at the same time).
