Broad beans can be sown now - they will grow slowly through the winter, then in the spring they will grow more quickly, then they will flower - you'll see the bees feeding on the nectar in the sweet-smelling black and white bean flowers, and when they do that they'll pollinate the flowers and you'l soon have a wonderful crop of tasty broad beans.

You can sow broad beans and peas now outside, and salad leaves in the greenhouse.
