I think I should've grown redcurrants instead of autumn-fruiting raspberries - they fruit so well and love the spot so much they're a bit more rampant than I'd bargained.

I think when I'd had them before they'd not been so happy with the soil as they are here.

I've just taken the Sanseveria, a succulent (echevaria?) and a cactus outside and stood them in a tub of water.  They all need potting on - they're totally potbound, but if they go in bigger pots they'll be too big for the windowsills image

Not too early for refreshment now punkdocimage.  Hope your weather is still sunny and warm.  Ours changes every hour so still not done what I intended. One day?

    Is it that time already?

Shredding done, compost mixed with grit, I have a bit of potting on to do. Stuff is growing so fast.

Maybe I need to go to another thread (tell me) but everyone seems to be shredding.  What do you use?  We have a little one that jams up every few minutes?

I'm using an alko 1100. its about 20 year old and has had the blades and hopper replaced after I lent it to a neighbour and it came back broken.image

Its good for twiggy stuff. For long straight stuff I use a bosch quiet shredder which doesn't really shred, it chunks it. Its really good for thick brambles but useless for bitty stuff. I'm putting holly prunings and spirea prunings and the forgetmenots through.
