Is that the £35.46 for 2x 330 litres clari? Not committed to buy yet, got to spend it on plants!

    Sunny now but still cold.

That's about it I think yes Mrs. G! I'll let you know what quality they are when they arrive (could take up to 28 days). I'd rather be spending on plants but the beds are not going to be done for a long time!

Oooh, I never thought about spraying them imageimage the pots my crocus and tulips in are a bit dull, I got them from the local tip recycling part last autumn, £1 each image

I was looking at some new ones in Lidl for my little conifers by the back doors and then could use the pot planters they are in at the moment for bedding plants.  I know I where some are going as I bought them for specific places (ie my poached egg plant and marigolds).  Thanks Dove.

Glad all was ok with your mum by the way and hoper you've rested a bit today.

Clari, you've got me on the compost trail! Now I'm considering 718L for £35 or 897L for £45. Don't want to spend £10 really! Got £50 birthday money I've been saving for plants... What do you think, will I regret not going for an extra 179L for £10, how mush id 179L anyway? Have already got a 22oL like you new ones Clari.

I brought the 330 litre ones for £19.98 (or 660 litres for a total of £29.97 on a buy one get one half price deal) based entirely on the fact that they were the biggest ones they do.

We get a lots of waste from the house to compost and with a nice sized lawn that will have cuttings to add to it (though I tended to do every other cut into the compost bin with the other cut going in the recycling wheelie bin as to not over load the compost bins) I thought it easiest to go as large as possible rather than go for a smaller one and regret it later on once the garden is established as for the moment I've plenty of space for a large collection of bins - once we're established I wont want to be having to consider "giving up" part of the borders!

mine's squeezed behind the climbing frame where plants would only get trampled on!

going for the biggest but will divide it so effectively get two out of it and then already have the third. That's the theory anyway, not sure how to do it in practice!

I'm trying to think of a strong yet slightly flexible plastic that you could insert up the middle - cut to shape - and silicone sealant in place but I'm afraid nothing is really coming to mind.
