    Hi all.

Panda all I said was I'd been out sniffing plants image Curry plant my fav'.

GH cleaned out, but not washed due to weather, rain or should I say storm about 30mins ago, after a few spots it banged it down. Now thunder & lightning but rain not as bad.

My new super deluxe cold frame imageimage useless in heavy rain only meant to stop cold, so veg & brugmansia having a night on garage floor, so they don't drownimage Bet it was amusing to see me running about in hotel shower cap as hair was already dripping & couldn't see. No time to get waterproof coat so fleece has been washed image

Don't we gardeners have fun. imageimage

     Geum rivale 'Flames of Passion'.

I'm falling in love with Geum rivale - we've got the species Water Avens by the pond.

Googled plants mentioned by dove and verd, all lovely. Think my berberis might be the same as verd's (prob loads of varieties which look the same and mine will be the poor relativeimage).

Nice day with a few showers, heavy as kef said, in the afternoon. Sunny again now. No gardening or even arch painting done today but cupboards stocked and house looking better.image Polish sniffing instead of plant sniffingimage.

Hi All image Sunny but windy here after a rainy start first thing.  Thanks for all the well wishes for big boy, his exam seems to have gone quite well, still no contact from school though confirming which level he's was entered for! image Head teacher being emailed tonight!!

Glad your parents are ok Dove and lovely plants.

Glad your sis is ok Lily and I'm sure she'll be very grateful, us big sisters are always grateful to our little sisters for looking after us image

Today I popped down to the local tip (or recycling centre as they now like to be called) to pick up some more compost for my spuds.  Whilst there I had a browse in the reuse shop for some bargain plastic pots (for tomatoes and green beans so didn't need to be fancy/new).  I found the lovely metal pot below and am going to make it into a planted centrepiece for the outside table, I can even out citronella candles in it to keep hugs away on those warm summer evenings.  At the moment it's on my thinking chair outside my GH whilst I decide what to plant in it image As you can see from the label, it's new and should have been £9.95, I paid £1 image

  • What's wrong with hugs?  You may need lots if the bugs are annoying you!image.
