Don't know what to suggest. If it helps I'll keep my fingers crossed. I'm sure you'll fight it off, eat good stuff and never mind the fasting. Pa needs his malt to celebrate, even if thickened. Are the people at the lovely home having a celebration for Ma & Pa?
Oh yes, there'll be cake and cards etc and an alchofrolic toast at lunch time - the Lovely Chef will probably make an ice-cream cake so that Pa can have some - that's what he did last year - Pa can eat icecream and thank goodness he likes it

Lol thanks dove!!!! I have just discovered 2 hellibores ( leaves anyway) down the bottom the leaves are too big to have come from a seed last year so there's a mystery fairy must have waved her wand!!!
Hope you don't get too poorly Dove and your sniffles go.
Lovely house Bill, best wishes to your wife. How lovely being married 57 years, that's fantastic
I don't know what today's plans are yet as the weather is very unpredictable, bright sunshine one minute then heavy rain/hail the next. I do know I need to pot up some plants though and move a couple from the front to the back, I'll see how I get on.
I'll get out there and continue the clear up of last season's growth. maybe split some snowdrop clumps. If I get round to it yours will be on their way Panda. Soon anyway. There are some in dire need of rescue, putting in a brave show completely underneath some Prunus laurocerass 'Otto Luyken' (spelling?)

Frost has been worse than I thought, just had to break ice on birdie water. Even Hellebores are hanging their heads.
