I should have been  sowing seeds but I was sitting on the Shady Bank gazing into the pond, and ..................... Dove is VERY EXCITED!!!

We appear to have some Newt tadpoles !!!!!

I can't think what else they can be ............ they must've come in as eggs laid on the leaves of water plants I bought from the Aquatic Centre imageimageimage

Ah, Dove. When I first had a pond I had to dash out to see the goldfish.  They got used to me coming with their food and it was mesmerising.  Think you are going to enjoy your pool just a little image

Our two little fishes are getting used to the idea of us walking by - before they would go and hide in their drain pipes until they were sure we had gone. Fathers on the other hand are so used to people now (he's had the pond over 20 years) that they COME to the surface when you open the window by the pond as they associate it with feeding time! He feeds them by hand - I'm afraid I just drop the pellets above their huge mouths they're too big a fish for me to be confident near!

Ha ha! Not quite that big Dove. But they're very very dark colours and so suddenly appear at the surface before you see them. Certainly I think they' could have my thumb off if I got too close*.

http://instagram.com/p/jT1d52o0H6/ (tried to take a video of them but I'm not sure it worked terribly well).

*I know logically they wouldn't but that doesn't stop my keeping my distance!!
