Good Morning! Though to be honest, we could do with a view which looked less like the inside of a Tupperware bowl... (other brands of plastic kitchenware are also available)
DD, hope the energy levels are increasing. This time of year it seems to take for ever to get over colds and stuff.
Glad the cold is going, Lizzie. Hope KEF's is easing too...
Fairy, those pictures from NE Scotland are dreadful. Flooding in Northumberland too, near where I used to live.
Hosta, we need sun and blue sky. Please send us a parcel
Pdoc, not long until your hols, I think...
Pat, any lemon meringue pie left please?? I've given up cake this month, but nobody said anything about lemon meringue...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Hi Liri, hi SGL, your right about the contract...vague and not in my favor dove taught me that I can eat an elephant if I can take small bites, so one thing at a time! I'm a stubborn thing as Dove will probably tell you, and my ballet teacher at the age of five! So I can take the challenges that come but thank you everyone for your support! I don't have many friends as everyone my age has children and tend to club in mummy groups, so I really find your words of support give strength, thank you all! X
Wonky, we need to set up a non-yummy-mummy club. All my friends are wandering off and having babies (seriously don't they know what causes that?) while I'm over here thinking "you know what would be awesome to do? Quad biking, or paint balling, or lets go to a coffee shop and see just how much cake we can eat until they roll us out the door..."
Are upstairs having family visit on holiday or do they seem to have dug roots and show no sign of moving? It all depends on the LandLord really.
You HAVE spoken to them about it right? Just as a "I'm a little concerned that there is a lot of people living upstairs and am finding it very unpleasant to live here".
A (decent) landlord will translate this as "I'm looking at moving out and you're going to have to go through all that work and effort of listing the property, paperwork, deposits etc. to get a new person..."
They might at least monitor it especially if they have a tenancy agreement that mentions number of occupants and expected wear and tear on a property.
Unsurprisingly it is raining. Again. The pond is now over flowing and Reggie (who didn't sleep well due to nightmares) is refusing point blank to go outside.
I'm trying to think of something inspirational to make for dinner tonight (anything to stop me writing emails and documents for work; I'm MEANT TO BE ON HOLIDAY). So far I've got as far as ....
chicken breast.
Hope they don't take too much off Dove; you'll need your insulation if this frosty weather arrives!!
Clari exactly my point about the yummy mummy's! Its not my scene let's put it that way! I'm a step mother of two, one nearly twenty one and one sixteen, eldest at uni, other visits weekends, that's plenty for me, my cats are very demanding! Then there is the birds to feed..... im sure you understand these demands with a light sleeping Reggie!
Always was a tomboy country girl, now I live in the town and really don't fit in! most of my friends are men, or older than myself with grown up kids that are glad they are gone!
I have mentioned the issue to the landlord so I'm hoping he will investigate! Looking forward to the paint balling!
did a bit of snorkeling today, amazing how much more you can see compared with standing on the harbour wall. Might take a trip to a coral reef before we go home.
weather has gone a bit cloudy this afternoon, so might be a couple of Gs and T then siesta.
Our christmas colds are not really much better. Hubby has gone off to pharmacist to get drugs.

Morning Liri, you weren't there when I started to type.
Sorry everyone, forgetting my manners.

Morning SGL.
And lots of others I didn't mention, sorry!
Wonky ((hugs))
Back garden (my lovely free-draining loam) has areas of standing water several inches deep, including the herb garden
and the pond is overflowing.
Heading into the city in a bit for a haircut - she won't need to wash it first at this rate ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
